At Merck Serono, we discover, develop, manufacture and market innovate small molecules and biopharmaceuticals in our focus therapeutic areas.

Merck Serono is the largest division of the Merck Group. With headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and over 17,000 people worldwide, we're active on all continents and offer leading brands in 150 countries. In the United States and Canada, EMD Serono operates through seperately incorporated affiliates.

Currently, our R&D pipeline includes around 70 projects prior to phase I and over 100 clinical studies from Phase I onwards. As well as our own integrated research and development facilities , we have a network of alliances with other biotech companies and academic groups. This promotes a constant flow of innovation into the organisation by enriching our disease knowledge and technical capabilities.

In the UK, Merck Serono's head office is located close to London Heathrow, with two smaller satellite offices in Canary Wharf and Hull. We employ approximately 230 people across a wide range of disciplines from sales and marketing to medical, customer service, finance and HR.
