A biotech leader
One of our main areas of emphasis is biotechnology products such as antibodies and interferons. Six innovative biotech products generate over half of our total revenues.
Strong R&D commitment
Merck Serono has its own integrated research and development facilities as well as a network of alliances with other biotech companies and academic groups. Each year we commit 25% of total revenues to discover and develop new therapies.New approaches in cancer therapy
We are working on the development of therapies that specifically target cancer cells without damaging healthy cells. Merck Serono’s focus on the development of targeted cancer therapies is on three therapeutic platforms: targeting the tumor cell, the tumor environment and the immune system.Pioneering technology for patients

Neurology, Autoimmune and Inflammation, Reproductive Health, Growth Hormone, Cardiology, Diabetes & Oncology
Key interest drivers include products or near to market products used in a specialist care setting and with sales (or expected sales) in the UK and/or Europe (or subsets of European countries).
Exceptions to this will be considered on a case by case basis e.g. products or near to market products in other disease areas.
