pH indicator strips
The Merck Serono pH indicator strips carry the CE mark. This means that they are certified for use as an in-vitro Diagnostic Medical Device for determination of the pH in human aspirate for the assessment of correct gastric tube placement. This satisfies the recent NPSA alert (NPSA/2011/PSA002). This certification was achieved by undertaking clinical trials using patients who had enteral tubes in situ and testing the aspirate to determine correct placement.
Because of the CE marking we can now offer you a product that:
- Is packaged with specific instructions for use
- Complies with the NPSA requirements for having 0.5 increments
- Comes in two ranges; pH 0-6 (product code 090120602) and pH 2-9 (product code 090120601)
