The CORTRAK enteral access system uses an electromagnetic sensing device to track and display the path of the CORTRAK feeding tube during the course of the placement procedure.
Cortrak has a touch screen interface that shows the relative location of the feeding tube tip during placement on its monitor.
The CORTRAK nasoenteric tubes must be used in conjunction with the CORTRAK Enteral Access System Unit.
Cortrak Tube Description- This polyurethane feeding tube and transmitting stylet assembly has been specifically designed for use with the CORTRAK™ device, and is intended for placement in the stomach or the small bowel.
- It is intended for use in those patients who require intermittent or continuous tube feedings via the nasogastric or nasojejunal route.
- Clinician should read the CORTRAK™ Operator’s Guide and the directions included with this feeding tube thoroughly prior to tube insertion. Local hospital protocol for insertion of any feeding tube should also be followed.
